Dinner's on me tonight.

So the countdown is on. According to our due date (depending on who you ask) we have anywhere between 8 and 5 days until the due date. So I guess that it's time to turn on those pampering skills that I have honed over all these years.

It's not that I dislike cooking, or that I am bad at it (cuz I'm not), or even that I’m clumsy and could loose my fingers (cuz I am, and could). Nope, it's more that I just enjoy eating much better. But tonight, Sara can hang up her apron and relax (as suggested by her midwife earlier today) and enjoy the fruits of my labor... ok, pasta with clam sauce for tonight but that does not quite have the same ring to it.

For now @ 8 days, 11+ hours...

PS. Dee, I'm going to need some of those recipes....

  1. Ahem! I feel the need to correct you here and point out that Sara is not having the baby for 11 days. I'm sorry to break this to her since I'm sure she's ready to rip that child right out this very second. However, I am quite sure that your daughter will have the best birthday ever--which, according to Nova, People Magazine, American Journal of Gastroenterology, Dr. Phil, Dr. Ruth, Conde Rice, and Sammy Sosa is March 8th!!! **References available upon request.

  2. How cruel could you be that you desire my wife to stay in labor for longer. You should b ashamed of yourself! And yes, I am going to have to see those references...
