Revival: Into the woods... and home before dark!

A few months ago, I mentioned that it was the time to begin making decisions for where to camp for the 2009 Wallace camping season, as well as the first ponderings of how to pull it off with Charlotte in tow.

Now it's putting all of these thoughts into action as we pull it all together for trip number 1, outside of Sturbridge Village in MA. We started last week thinking how to re-org all of our stuff in order to be able to bring everything that we have come accustomed to (probably WAY to much stuff in the first place) as well as ensure that Charlotte has her usual comfy cozy place in the car. We almost thought of getting a fun new contraption...

...but we came to our senses with the $6K+ price tag. I have to say though, it was more tempting than I ever thought that a "camper" type item could be, us being tent people and all... So instead, we settled on a hitch-mount basket to handle the overflow, but wow do we carry a ton of crap! (And that was pre-baby!!!) Wish us luck on our first adventure. More from the road or shortly after.

From five feet,
Charles

PS. How are you with camping? Vote below!

  1. Um, so I voted that I'm OK among the trees, but since the last time I went camping was in the mid-90's with you and the rest of the SHS crowd, I probably should be asking what trees are.

    Have fun!
