Not by the hair of my chinny chin-chin

Sara and I have both noticed that with the joy of your growing child comes the adorable increase in curiosity, enough to put a smile on anyone's face. I had the pleasure of slipping out of work early to spend some time relaxing and hanging with my daughter and was pleased to find Charlotte in the prime of the day's curiosity. With that curiosity comes, of course, the flailing and roaming hands. Here are the progressions some of the day's observations:
  • Clean hands in the mouth
  • Once clean, now slimy hands up Daddy's nose (don't have to do it myself, "ewww")
  • Slimy and boogery hands now in Daddy's mouth (double ewww)
  • Double slimy and boogery hands on Daddy's eyeglasses
  • Smudged eyeglasses on the floor
I was able to capture the above shot of Charlotte having fun with Daddy's Gotee. As I was capturing the photo, I was thankful that Farfel (our 2.5 year old dog) had not shown HIS curiosity all over my camera with a barrage of licks on the lens (as he has inflicted in the past). I would have lost the moment...

Loving being a daddy... booger-filled-glasses and all.

PS. What I really hear is an expression of curiosity is when the food starts being flung. I think the novelty of mashed-potato wall-art will wear off pretty fast...

Too too cute. I need to come visit soon so she can drool and pull my hair and spit her food on me. :)
