My newest Hero: (The birth part 2)

It's my contention that everyone needs someone to admire, look up to or seek inspiration from. So here is my story... But first, a question.

What does 2.5 hours mean to you? Let's see:
Well, last week, Sara certainly achieved that last point during the 13 hours of labor that culminated in 2.5 hours of active pushing, considered to be on the long side of the bell curve. Because she never progressed past 8cm during contractions, our incredible midwife allowed her to attempt pushing at the 8cm point (not normally done). Throughout the pregnancy, Sara and I prepared for a natural, non medicated birth and I have to say that the prep and just her shear strength and perseverance pulled her through.

As I said before, everyone needs someone to admire, look up to or seek inspiration from. Charlotte and I have don't need to look very far...

For my hero, my woman of steel...
